Greater Dayton Partners for the Environment Name New Executive Director

The Dayton Foundation has named Sarah Hippensteel Hall as executive director of the Greater Dayton Partners for the Environment. An initiative launched by The Dayton Foundation in 2009, the Greater Dayton Partners for the Environment is an alliance of environmental, government and civic organizations, and public and private educational institutions. Their goal is to protect, restore, preserve and promote the Greater Dayton Region’s natural resources, including the Great Miami River and Little Miami River Watersheds.

Hippensteel Hall also serves as the program development specialist for the Miami Conservancy District, where she successfully has raised more than $9 million towards water quality improvements in the watershed.

Prior to working for the Miami Conservancy District, Hippensteel Hall served as the executive director of the Little Miami River Partnership, an environmental information specialist for YSI, Inc., the Hoosier Riverwatch coordinator for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and an environmental manager for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. She earned a doctorate in Leadership and Change from Antioch University, a M.A. in Environment and Community from Antioch University Seattle and a B.S. in Watershed Resource Policy and Planning from The Ohio State University.

Since 1921 The Dayton Foundation has been helping people help others in the Dayton community and beyond. The Dayton Foundation helps donors find the best and most tax-wise ways to achieve their charitable objectives, invests and manages donors’ charitable funds, and provides grants and leadership to grow philanthropy and help meet present and future community needs.
